Going on the P&O Ventura - going around the med.
Have only done Thomson cruises up to now so this will be a bit "posher" only cos husband fancied a balcony.
Looking forward to it - need my dresses cos being somewhat vertically challenged I am sure they will need to be shortened and we leave on Thursday - working monday to wednesday so thought would get them done this weekend................really hope they will arrive tomorrow morning

My DD really wants to go on a cruise ship... any tips on whats a good price? Getting so confused looking at all the websites. Any help appreciated! x

I've just signed in to my email to see an email from Amazon saying they are processing the refund of the shoes (£36) obviously Barratts aren't paying the £8.80 postage.

of course the PO should refund the cost of any service they've charged for and not fufilled .
It's the same with the Signed For service , if the recipient doesn't sign you can claim back the 70 odd pence you paid .

Erm, I may be misunderstanding your point but I thought HC paid £8.80 for the item to be delivered by RM. To date the item has not been delived. so the refund should be for £8.80 not 70p. £8.80 is a Lot of money to me so I would certainly make a claim. From experience 'signed for' is not worth the paper it is printed on. It guarantees nothing and the amount of times RM have been unable to provide a proof of signature for items delivered under this service is laughable. I am referring to personal experiance only.

Whilst I appreciate you take pride in your job, please appreciate the service provided by RM differs from county to county. I do have friends who work at the RM sorting office in Hemel Hempstead so I do understand the stresses and pressures of the job. However, at the end of the day, the more you charge for a service, the higher the expectations when it comes to delivery. Failure to provide a service should result in a refund - no ifs or buts.

I paid £8.80 for standard parcel, no Recorded or anything...
Standard Parcel is the same compensation as 1st Class & 2nd Class
For stamped, metered and by account* items a postage refund plus compensation on the basis of actual loss, where evidence of posting and evidence of value can be provided. This compensation is subject to the maximum payable being the lower of the market value of the item and the maximum of £46.00.
Postage refund (a minimum payment of 6 x 1st Class letter stamps at the first weight step) shall be payable where only basic evidence is provided or the item is of no intrinsic value
We've found out the little girl at our bbq on monday has got chicken pox, she has been around my sister who is 4 months pregnant & my oh who was told when he had his transplant that chicken pox was very dangerous to him. Her mum said "we thought she was coming down them as the children in the childminders all have them"
I just can't believe they still came when she was ill and said nothing, I've rung the transplant unit and got to go for test tomorrow, sister had also go to midwife tomorrow.

:(:( how absolutely ghastly for your sister & her OH ♥

I noticed yesterday that Costa Cruises had greatly reduced some of their last minute cruises and some European cruises were reduced from £1210 to £199 - flights not included though. There was a nice looking one that departed from Venice for 7 nights for £199.
