Good to see 3Dogs post last night, I posted before catching up and then was reading through wondering where it was! Hope the support helps and hope you manage to sort things out with the dogs.
I have been getting down, wondering when I would get my life back, and I am only helping OH with his business until he gets back to normal, and getting very little "me" time (it means we are together very nearly 24/7!). I only have to read your posts to realise I am not so badly off, and at least there is ligtht at the end of the tunnel. I really do not know how you do it, and my admiration for you knows no bounds, I only wish the fates would smile on you.
And hugs to Calm Spirit, hope you get well soon.
OK, my screen has just disappeared, the sun has come out :T:T
Hugs to everyone that needs them, very little hope of keeping up today! What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

When I get these calls it tends to be for house insurance, home phone, broadband, car insurance, mobile phone insurance etc.
I like to play with them.:D
Little do they know that they've come across a serious money saver/brazen hussy (mad). :rotfl::A:rotfl:
When they ask me how much I pay for a particular service; I usually reply £x per month for whatever product they're asking for.
Their reply: 'Oh.....ok....uhmmmmm....well......ermmmmm......have a good morning/afternoon/evening.'
They always seem surprised by the low price.
That usually sorts them out and I never get a call back. :rotfl::grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member

I had a mobile phone company call me and tell me they could beat my current conract rate. I told them I did not think they could and they said "go on, try us", I tried to get them to put money on the table but they would not, and then annonced I pay £1 a month for 25 mins and 50 texts (all I need, very low user!) and they would not believe me :eek:. I have never exceeded it either!
I have got so fed up with the utilities people, I just tell them we are just about to move, that gets rid of them. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
Cold called for solar panels:
sales: Did you know the government will pay you to have panels on your roof?
me: have you seen my roof?
sales: no, but they fit all roofs
me: it wouldn't suit my roof
sales: they look fine on all roofs
me: I have a thatched roof, do you think it will look odd?
sales: um, urrrr.......

Well I'm back again....she decided that once she was there she wasn't well enough (teachers agreed). Except on the way home she was talking 19 to the dozen and started to want to go back again.
I refuse to do an impression of a yo-yo. So right now she's on the sofa with instructions to have a sleep. I can always take her back again later.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

A number of years ago someone called my other half (before we met) to sell him a conservatory. They had a lovely conversation. Then it got to the bit where they wanted to come round to talk....at which point the address was confirmed. You can't miss it said he.....its a first floor flat.
Oh says the salesman before putting the phone down. He had a great time.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move
