Hi Daisyduck
From my experience people at boot sales want to pay pennies rather than pounds, so any decent stuff like a Wii, I would try and sell on gumtree or similar
Thanks purdita - ah didn't know just read ppl made some good money at bootsales. Problem is I can't upload the photos its saying they are too big? I don't want that much tbh just wantrid iykwim, but too good to give away??? I'll try putting them on with no pic maybe? Thanks
Edit: Ms MP - I'll defo try the shop window idea, never even thought of that. Do all shops do this sort of thing? I've never sold anything b4 - can you tell?0 -
Afternoon all, still catching up, hope all is well with you all.
For now...
Thanks fudge_cake, you never fail to make me smile!
greenfinger - loving the picture! sorry for the loss of some of the ducklings, will keep my fingers crossed for the remaining ones, I'm sure they are being well looked after!
Redfox - a credit to this thread :T
3dogs, glad it was a better day for your both
76 Rosie, hope the exam has gone well for you :-)
Enterprise - so the air show is really good then? Strangely enough about an hour ago we were given a memo at work to
say we're having a family day trip to the show, I wasn't sure whether to go or not as it's a fair trek from here
and not sure if it's really my thing.
Wirehair - hope all goes well for your DS2 - I had it done nearly 2 years ago now, it's made a huge difference
on my life, I love being glasses free!!
Hugs to anyone I've missed and all those that need them0 -

Ahh, thanks. Intend to, plus it will be our 9 yr together anniversary. Not bad seeing as everyone gave us a month at the beginning. I stole him from his child hood sweatheart. Not as bad as it sounds. He was my manager at work and i knew he wasnt happy so on the day he left, i just told him, i love you, move in with me, and he did, the next day!!! There wasnt any hanky panky until he had left his ex!
♥The boxes Im making for the rings are even based on instructions by someone on here at christmas time, for reusing christmas cards...but im using colourful post-it notes and scraps of paper this time.
I even feel like listing MSE and the 11+ thread on our flyer where we say which businesses and individuals have supported us with donations!:rotfl::rotfl:
:T:T:T so pleased the box making instructions have been used :T:Tsorryaboutmywife wrote: »My Extra store has taken all of these Tyrell spicy green nuts off the clipstrips and put RTC 30p yellow labels over the barcodes
But this could very well mean they are now a penny if the original bc is scanned. Can someone test please? Normally on clipstrips in crisp or booze section.will do

Hi everyone
Totally off topic - but I am trying to get a little bit of extra cash at them mo and read some of you doing car boot sales? I've never been to one and have no idea where they be or how to take part. I've loads of baby bits - car seats, prams, cots, etc.. all like new - is this the sort of thing they sell. I also have my DH Wii that he has never used but do you sell things like this at a bootsale. I've tried ebay but can't get pic to upload so just want an easy way to get rid of it all.
Thanks
P.s Lets all play nice !!!!Hi Daisyduck

i agree with Purdita....people at car boots generally want to pay as little as possible, and will make you the most stupid, insulting offers!
You would be much better off selling the "higer value" items like the Wii either via somewhere like gumtree, ad in shop window, office intranet or persevere with ebay
bably clothes will sell at car boots but dont waste your time and energy taking the bigger things as they will either sell ridiculously cheaply or you will be bringing them back home again. Again, same for that really, shop window, gumtree, local paper kind of thingI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards.
