I think few users of this site do the odd carboot or two.
I've seen a chap selling Tesco items at Whitchurch, Bristol bootsale & a lady at Burnham On Sea Rugby Club bootsale. Hello?
I would think that the time taken/revenue gained would mean that looking around bootsales for HMRC would be a poor use of their time.
I'm pretty sure they are not in the least bit interested in the average Joe, who does a few car boots a year. It's the ones who frequent all the boot sales in the area selling lots of the same stuff. For instance there is a guy who does the bootsales around here who has a transit sized van full of 1000's of DVD's.
Obviously a trader. Similarly there's a lady who has 100's of items of baby clothes and accessories every week....again, obviously a trader, and probably totally legit.... but these are the types the Inland revenue are investigating.
I was also told that they are gunning for the big businesses who avoid tax and also the sheisters who deduct tax and NI from their employees yet don't make the contributions. Then one of the employees loses their job or goes sick and finds he cant claim anything because he's not made enough contributions.
They said the IR doesn't have the resources or manpower to be interested in every self employed plumber, electrician, or whatever, who pays his taxes for working a 40 hour week yet helps a mate out on a Saturday for a bit of cash.
It's the ones who say they don't work when they do and the biggies who try to evade tax they are gunning for.
Just a bit of insider info, that's all.My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0 -
The lime green looks too chav-ish in my opinion.
Go for the black.
But I'm kinda put off by any scratches or chips showing up easily on the black.
I told OH green = chav :rotfl:
I am a little concerned about that too, but I figure as its only a wrap once its *wrecked* You can get it re wrapped for a few hundred or have it de wrapped and its a lovely panther black underneath :beer:0 -

Que?????:rotfl::rotfl:
not odd just a little strange:rotfl:due to the hills there are lots of mini-climates(for want of a better phrase) , it might be raining here but 2 mins down the road it's dry .
with the history of uk weather this year surely it's better to be someone new & nice in the rain then somewhere that you've been 100's of times in the rain .
your right there my daughter lives in a small village a mile away and its often raining there but sunny here or vice versa..
they even had heavy snow ones and i did not know until the school phoned to ask me to collect my son as the school was closing.
i would recomend everyone to come to wales on holiday but the one draw back is we dont have that many tescos :rotfl:0 -

I was there last week, the only people "enjoying" the weather were the kite and wake boarders!!"He that lieth down with dogs shall rise up with fleas" Benjamin Franklin

I grew up less than a mile from there. I thought all kids went to the beach after school each day in the Summer
I really really want to go to the Gower Peninsula.
Ever since Kathering Jenkins was promoting it on "Britains best View" I thought it looked stunning. My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.0
