Went into a small Asda today and they had restocked some of the bargains.
I've at last managed to find the Pilau rice for 25p and they had more of the finest blueberry and pomegranate jams SEL £1.80 but scanning at 40p. This is really lovely too.:)
Still had Chicken tonight sauces for 40p and masses of the garlic linguine 25p and wholewheat pasta 20p.
I've found more stuff in the little stores than the large ones.

So that every single post that I contribute to this thread is on topic I would just like to say I am an elite 11+ member and I hear the unjust silence of my opinions whilst I am shopping in supermarkets mainly. Just sayin.

Thanks guys so far for replies, my mind is pretty much made up but sadly I have to wait until tomorrow to make my final decision.

Tomorrow is also when I go back to work with the biggest sickest sinking feeling already in my belly :-(

    Will keep y'all updated :-)

    Duckling Saga!

We rescued 15 duck eggs 4 weeks ago when Mr Fox had mum for dinner. Last night 1st egg hatched, followed by another this afternoon and another is just starting to break out. Thought you might like to see photo's, will let you all know what happens.
No t's for me today, thanks for the pizza, yogurt and b& j's info.
Many thanks to Snap-ant for the quiz which I thoroughly enjoy even though it takes me ages to complete on the laptop.
Love to catch up on your lives/posts etc even though I never find anything new or post very often
    THANK YOU

Aaah, that's lovely. You didn't tell me about that! You do know that the first living thing that they see is 'mum', so you will have extra sprogs now.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: How are you going to feed them? Don't think T's sell duck food!
Pleeeeease can I come and see them when they've all hatched?
    See you soon

Edit just read more of your posts and you've answered my question, playing catchup as been out plant buying today

    Evening guys!!

I could do with your advice on a "dilemma" I have at the mo. I have a chance to fly out to Greece for 4 days and all I would need to pay for is my flights, which are just over £250. I can get the time off work one way or another, and have done the sums and can definitely afford it.

Would you go? It's a chance for some very welcome sun, a gorgeous place to go to and I know the people there.

My only bugbear is that when I went last year I got stuck there as my flight home got cancelled because of the strikes and I swore I would never go greek again. Surely that couldn't/wouldn't happen again???

It helps to have "someone else" to run this past. It's thanks to you lot (and mr t of course!!) that I don't have to worry about the money for probably the first time in my life :-)

GO!! Queen of Cheap my fave saying is "seize the day" or carp diem or summat like that!!! go and pack your bags have a wonderful time and go with the flow, if the planes are delayed well so what dont live by what ifs, you will miss so much if you do. Enjoy!!:j:j Im well Jel!!:j:j

I had one of the steamed puddings last night and it was good, I don't think you must have cooked yours long enough. I let it stand for two mins. I ate it with the reduced priced custard. Desert for four cost me 76p.
Mortgage debt 45,000. Thank you all for your help so far in helping me save to buy the house. I could not have done this without all your help.
  • Just thought I'd come out from lurking and say hi  and a huge thank you. I have saved so much money in Mr T's over the last few days and have just come back from my MIL's house after supplying enough pizzas to feed 7 of us…and there's still a load in our fridge, freezer and my Mum's chest freezer! So here's hoping there are many more equally great glitches coming up soon... I toast you with an enormous bowl of B+Js! x
