    Hi everyone..

    Had a big trouting today...
Went to MR T today, have only been to this store once before and never done anything I shouldn't in here...

They saw me coming and picking up their magazines, was going to get make a meal sausage, some biscuits, tescos's yoghurts and some B&J's but none left..

Got to till had about 5 sausages in trolley, I asked did she want me to put through one at a time as the coupon alert went off and the coupon states 'one per transaction' ..
No sooner had the words left my gob the manager came over and said, 'you can only have one sausage' and that 'transaction' means 'customer' ok I said, while thinking to myself I wish I'd gone to the car boot instead...

Tried to do one sausage and it wouldn't let me, that message came up on screen and she said it has to be more than £1 and that they won't give it me for free...

Humiliated, and stressed I finish the shop she then says I have to pay for the sausage as she can't take it off and have CC refund the cost of it...so I had to overpay for something I wanted but wasn't able to have..:o:o:o

Couldn't get any B&J as no garlic bread, but was grateful for the biscuits...

Chin up....we all get our first major trouting; it's inevitable.

    Toughens you up innit.

What really annoys me though is that they refused to accept the coupon when you were buying the single pack; even though you had followed the Ts and Cs!

    Evening guys!!

I could do with your advice on a "dilemma" I have at the mo. I have a chance to fly out to Greece for 4 days and all I would need to pay for is my flights, which are just over £250. I can get the time off work one way or another, and have done the sums and can definitely afford it.

Would you go? It's a chance for some very welcome sun, a gorgeous place to go to and I know the people there.

My only bugbear is that when I went last year I got stuck there as my flight home got cancelled because of the strikes and I swore I would never go greek again. Surely that couldn't/wouldn't happen again???

It helps to have "someone else" to run this past. It's thanks to you lot (and mr t of course!!) that I don't have to worry about the money for probably the first time in my life :-)
    Go, go, go!

Lightening never strikes twice, so they say!

Hope you have searched on kayak for flights, (unless you are using Avios points of course).

  • yes they do stock pizza's with "takeaway" on them, I bought 3 last sunday..

I take my words back, Ive just checked and no they are ordinary Tesco pizza's... sorry

I was sure Id seen the takeaway ones, it probably on the actual coupons that Ive seen them..

here are the ones I got, and they must say "takeaway" on them somewhere..

    http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/search/default.aspx?searchBox=pizza%20take%20away

I scrutinised them today and only the SEL said Take Away, nothing on the box would distinguish it from any other boxed pizza.

    Just a thought...........

Does anyone ever wonder if all of these glitches are "engineered" by Tesco. There's us getting all excited when we think we have a bargain but the reality could be different.

Perhaps we are just pawns on a chessboard (even cheeseboard!) with Tesco management chuckling up their sleeves that they've managed to offload another pizza mountain onto the unsuspecting British public.

You can tell its football on the TV.........

I know this has been said before but a pizza ice cream and 2 garlic bread for 50 odd pence? No way can they be making money on that engineered or not :)

    Hope you are feeling better.

Without wanting to laugh when you are in distress, I was amused that you felt the need to change your clothes before going to the hospital.

Why did you think they would need to see the blooded kitchen paper?

Had to change as I had done a little bit of strimming in old trousers which had virtually no undercarriage left, the strimmed grass was all up the legs up to my knees & there were so many holes in my Tshirt it was like a string vest, good question though. If it made you laugh thats okay we don't laugh enough the more the better

The blooded kitchen paper i thought it might be useful to show how much it had been bleeding ie how deep it was if I had to go to Triage but now they have a little GP type urgent care bit on the side so i filled out a quick form & straight to a nurse, in & out & home in just over half an hour
