Orange Disconnection Fee??

Hi,
I currently pay broadband for my mom's house. I am out of contract (took it about 2 years ago) and have recently bought my own home.
Enquired today about cancelling my broadband as will be moving into new home end of august (and not wanting orange broadband again) and have been told I have to pay a £29.69 cancellation fee.
Looking to find out if this is a standard charge or if they are just trying to blag me??

Its a standard charge by BT Openreach. That gum you like is coming back in style.0

It's a standard charge levied by all ISP's except Virgin Cable if you cancel broadband instead of changing providers with a MAC code.0

Believe it or not, you actually agreed to this fee - it forms part of their Terms and Conditions, and is the cost they pay to BT Openreach to remove the xDSL links at the local exchange. As you're not transferring to any other supplier, the amount to be billed is correct.0

o2 dont charge thisDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0
