Broadband without landline / Comparison sites not helping!

Most sites seem to only let me pick broadband if I have their phone option, is that necessary or just their rules?

Also, regarding comparison sites - I'm moving house in about 6 weeks, and my requirements are simple:

TV with basic channels, plus Sky Sports and ESPN (just for football really)
Broadband unlimited access as there will be several people with me
Phone line not really needed (unless required for broadband)

This sounds really simple, but comparison websites aren't helping. Some don't recognise my postcode for Virgin (though I know it does operate in that area), some give prices based on short term deals only. Can anyone either recommend a reliable comparison site (ideally one that includes cashback from Quidco etc too, is that possible?) or alternatively can someone recommend a package with a certain supplier (I've assumed it would be Virgin or Sky for everything, but I suppose there are also BT and others which i know very little about).

By the way, if it's relevant, I'm currently with Virgin, and the people in the house I'm moving to are currently with Sky - does that make much difference?

Can't wait to get moved in and get over all this stuff, it's so stressful... lol

Unless you have a cable connection (e.g. Virgin) then any other broadband will require a phone line - even FTTC. (I'm ignoring mobile broadband, due to your Unlimited requirement, and I'm assuming WiMax will not be available).

Put your new postcode into the exchange checker at https://www.samknows.com and this should tell you what broadband options are available there.
