Talk Talk Broadband Deal Beware!

I thought I remembered a post a while back mentioning how bad Talk Talk customer service was, wish I'd listened instead of being seduced by the cheap broadband deal on offer!
2 Months later, no broadband, no line installed (waited in all day no engineer turned up). Customer services seems to be based abroad and the only way you can contact them is via an 0870 number, which as I haven't yet got a phone line installed is mega expensive on my mobile! Ah so that's how you recoup the money on your loss-leader broadband deal - it's a racket!
Tried sending emails via site but they ask things like "We can not deal with your request without a account number and phone number - Can you believe that? I have no phone line because you haven't installed it and I have no account number because you have not sent me the welcome pack!
Wish I hadn't got involved with them, and now it's costing me mobile phone money calling 0870 numbers to extract myself from them, gee thanks TALK TALK! or should that be ALL TALK TALK.
Have made complaint (No.2), asked for a refund of line rental paid in advance and told them I will never have anything to do with them again. It seems to me to be an operation setup "on the cheap".
Maybe I was just unlucky, but as I said I remember hearing about Talk Talk customer service issues before?

That's probably the most effective avenue of support.0 -
I don't think large companies really care about customer service. They will just keep on advertising all the time to get new customers who are not aware of the problems and poor service they will be getting.0
