hey guys i am after a bit of advice/help. And i am wondering if anyone else has or is experiencing the same problem..

i had a contract for 2 years with o2..The contract was up this year the 6th of april so i wrote a letter dated 16th march explaining a didn't want to re-new my contract and would like to end it and this is my 30days notice...
i received text from o2 confirming this but know letter..they said they don't send letters out...

anyway my contract ended 16th April and all was done...
Until o2 took £197 from my bank..I rung them and they said it was a payment for ending my contract early..I then explained the above and the man in o2 said yes you are correct and refunded me the money...
It is now june and o2 are saying i now owe them £83 for the last 2 months bills.
As you can probably guess my phone was cut off 16th april (contracted ended) and there for Cant/hasnt be used

So have rung o2 who keep coming up with different excuses to why i owe them this £83..1 saying because i ended my contract early.1 being its my last 2 months phone bill ect ect...I have explained to them over and over that i had the contract for 2years 10days..and i wrote and gave them 30 days notice and yet still they are sending me bills for a contract that no longer exists and saying if i don't pay they will send debt collectors round..

any help would be great the next step for me is probable to write a letter as calling different people is not getting anywhere.

The ball is in their court when it comes to explaining charges. I agree only a paper trail (or your recording of the cancellation request) will provide the necessary corroboration that you intended to cancel.

As you gave them permission to report your dealings to a CRA, you also need to ensure there is no adverse data showing, and if I is get them to remove it.

As you allegedly owe them and don't pay, they (or their computer) can routinely report late payments (or even a default) to a CRA.
