Insurance for new iPhone 4s - Ensleigh contents ins. or Natwest Silver acc?
Hello,
I have just bought an iPhone 4s and am looking to get it insured. I bought the phone out-right and have a microsim on a rolling contract.
I have a Natwest Select Current account and have contents insurance with Ensleigh, and am wondering which would be the best option to upgrade on to get phone insurance. Both cover for loss as well as damage.
Upgrading to Natwest Silver Select account: £8/month (includes Euro travel insurance for 22 days, 3 LoveFilm rentals/month, Identity Theft ins, in addition to phone insurance).
*Based on Phones 4 U cover plan.
Mobile insurance add-on through my Ensleigh Contents Insurance: I am currently covered for £5,000 worth of contents for which I pay about £8.50/month. Phone insurance add-on would be an extra £5.50/month.
*Based on Zurich cover plan.
Does anyone have any advice on what might be the best option for me? Ensleigh looks like the cheaper, and most obvious, option but there might be things that make the Natwest cover a better option. For example, claiming on mobile insurance through an Ensleigh plan would affect my no claims bonus, and I wonder how valuable the Natwest bonus offers are?
Has anyone ever claimed on either?
I would appreciate any help!
Many thanks
