xbrenx - DAVE is on Freeview - so you just need a Freeview box, or a TV with a Freeview tuner, as long as you get good reception. No point paying a Sky subscription just for that, you'll have an aerial installation paid for twice over after a year!

Hahaha you make it sound like we ONLY want Dave.
Noooo, it's just one of many.
I've thought of freeview before but we don't have an aerial, just the sky dish, sounds like I better look into the cost of having an aerial fitted!

Around £100 depending on area and access.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

    xbrenx - you said:
Gutted that DAVE is not on that list. That's one channel that gets a lot of viewing here
So yeah you did give me that impression a bit! How far are you into your Sky contract - if you're over 12 months, you should call them to renegotiate, people often get discount if they threaten to leave. Or are there any packages you can do without? You can rent a LOT of DVDs for the price of the movie channels for example.
Also, if you're willing to spend to save, consider Freesat (NOT Freesatfromsky) which will involve buying a box and putting it where the sky used to be - same connections, same dish. You can have HD, recording, even iPlayer etc if you connect the box to the net. Have a look here to see the available channels on the Freesat platform. You'll still need FreeVIEW for Dave though...
