Why are such losers allowed to live?

Passed my test in January, got my car in february. Ok the car is not amazing, it's a 1994 1.3l Skoda Favorit estate, and I was given it for nothing as it was otherwise destined for the scrap. There are much newer/nicer cars in my area, despite it being a relatively deprived council estate near leeds city centre.

I have spent the last 2 days polishing my car to bring back the shine. Today, I came in for an hour or so to wash my cloths and get some food and a drink, I go out to find my car had an egg thrown at it during that time. Although it would not stand up in a court of law, (and no doubt throwing an egg at a car would not lead to any police action whatsoever [I also guess if I got my tyres slashed, windows broken, bonnet bashed in and paintwork scratched all over, the police would only give me a crime reference number like it was the winning numbers to the National Lottery, probably even if I furnished the police with video evidence clearly depicting the offender]). I believe I know who did throw the egg at the car.

A young man visits next door regularly (he is the father of one or two children with a girl who lives with her mother, who I doubt is above 16 years old). He regularly throws rubbish in our garden. I get the impression he hates anyone who lives in my house, despite never having spoken to him, or having ever done anything detrimental whatsoever to him or anyone else.

I am now, I think justifiably, concerned about possible future damage to my car due to the likely cost of repairs, and the fact the perpetrator is likely to get away scot free. Would move away from this crap area if I could.

Losers like this could be sent to their own island, maybe for a year of idiot on idiot therapy, so they can all do nasty things to each other for no sane reason. Maybe they'll then realise that doing nasty things to other people is not such a good thing. However, I seriously doubt such idiots have the mental capacity for normal reasoning.

I know it's not crime of the century, but there's just no sane reason to go into a fridge (assuming idiots keep their eggs there), take an egg out, carry it with you and throw it at someone's car. I thought I had managed to avoid losers on the bus who play crap music over their mobile phone speaker, and generally annoy other passengers. Just found I have to deal with losers possibly damaging my car. Just really enrages me.

PS. I am guessing most, if not all, of you live in nicer areas than I do, so you might not get these brainless losers.

/possibly pointless rant over.

Sometimes a pointless rant is good....

In 20 years time, you'll be somewhere else, they won't be (unless they've died, which would probably be an evolutionary step forward). Not Gipton is it..?

It's the Ebor Gardens estate, sometimes known also as Burmantofts. I saw my house on the local news with armed police pointing MP5's at next door not so long ago (surprisingly the one the opposite side to the neighbour I mention).

I have an aunt who lives in Gipton. She said that they unintentionally left their car door open over night once (probably the kids), not just unlocked, actually open, and noone touched it. This will be a good number of years ago, probably before they put all that traffic calming stuff there (was probably a bit rougher then), and I find that somewhat difficult to believe, even though their road is a cul-de-sac.

Have you considered applying for an ASBO against this guy?

    :p
  • I used to live nextdoor to a neighbour who enjoyed chucking stuff in my garden, mostly fag butts. I just checked it all back on their door step.

Hope you get the hell out to somewhere nicer soon.

I bet Luton end up 24th as they sold all their players and the team owner is a retard.
Nothing to see here, move along.

This is a particularly nasty thread - MSE's not normally like this.
You know what I'd do if somebody threw an egg at my car? Clean it off.
    Can I help?

Be glad it's just an egg my DD had a brick thrown at her 2 day old car in Leeds a few months ago, a totally unprovoked attack by a group of yobs on a street corner whilst she was driving, £300 worth of damage.

Yeah, with an accidental spray of the hose over the next door fence as the 'young man' walked up the path

Somebody threw an egg at your car, you didnt see who it was but it must have been the girl next door's boyfriend who you know hates you even though you've never spoke to him?

You sound very paranoid. Almost as if you want him to hate you justso you can be proved right.

If you live on such a bad area as you say you do then it could have been anybody that threw the egg, I doubt very much that it was the young man next door.

By the way, have you spoke to him about dropping litter in your garden?
