Can someone help me?

I want to purchase some Skype credit for whilst im in Thailand so I can call home. I'll be calling a mobile phone here in the uk, but i'm trying to find out the cost, per minute and I can't find it anywhere! Where I can, I'll be doing Skype to Skype but that wont always be possible, hence the credit. Thanks in advance!

Gosh! Even BT only charge 11.3p/min during the daytime and 5.3p/min in the evenings (plus 13.1p call set up fee).

I appreciate the OP will be calling from Thailand to the UK, however I thought one of the advantages of VOIP is that calls are routed via the Internet to the destination country and would expect them to cost no more than if they were made from the country you're calling.

However, having said that, in general, the price of VOIP calls to the POTS hasn't overwhelmed me.

True, but Skype's prices are far from competitive, except maybe for their fixed monthly bundles for calls to fixed lines.

Could your friend in the UK set Skype up on their mobile so you can call mobile to mobile anywhere in the world for free. Or...buy them a cheap smart phone and set skype up on that for them. Such as http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/t-mobile-rapport-android-phone-29-99-instore-asda-1234230
    :footie:
:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

AFAIK many providers don't allow using mobile internet for Skype calls.
