blinkbox and samsung tv

ust joined hope this is right place to post this! I have samsung 3d tv with internet , blinkbox is installed , one of several apps , ive got an issue blinkbox repeatedly updates itself 7 times in 10 mins , apparently the issue according to blinkbox is samsungs tv firmware and the way it incorporates flash, ive spent hours , via telephone samsung told me to update the tv firmware which I did via usb stick and not wifi , I worked out you had to unzip the firmware via the computer and save to the memory stick, the tv updated installed more apps then updated blinkbox yet again , so even the latest samsung tv update didnt resolve it , Im currently waiting for either samsung or blinkbox to let me know what to do next , as it makes using the internet side of the tv useless , you cannot remove the app either ! anyone else had these problems:beer:

My Samsung TV is doing the same thing, very annoying, it has the latest software too. Hope they fix it soon.

And this is why I'm not interested in 'Smart TVs' - they're not that smart. How long will Samsung support this TV until they decide that they'd prefer for you to just buy a new one. Computer under the TV, using VLC on a laptop to control it may be a bit clunky, but you'll not be caught unable to view things...

You are spot on. As you say its two years old they don't retrospectively update the internet@TV software to the latest versions preferring you to by a new TV.
The same throw away model used for mobile phones.
