AFAIK, DSO has been completed in the West Midlands so, if your set is still receiving channels, it has a Freeview tuner.
If you have more than 5 channels, it certainly does have.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
Oh good! What a nice surprise! Thanks!
It isn't actually connected to any TV at the moment, and has only in the past been connected to Virgin Media, but I'll stick the aerial in and see what happens..

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0 -
On the front of my manual it states - Full HD - so how can it be SD?0

We are clearly not getting through to you.
The term Full HD means that the screen has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It does not mean that the internal tuner is capable of receiving HD content.
To see HD on your TV you have to connect a Sky+HD box, a Virgin HD box or a Freeview HD box using an HDMI lead. This will give you 720p or 1080i.
To get Full 1080p you need a Blu Ray player. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
