keeping clothes for "when I get slim again"

When I slimmed down in to my 'previous' clothes, I then threw out all my larger sizes.
I am now at the point where my clothes are getting too small again
I couldn't really tell by looking at me as it crept on slowly, but noticing my clothes are getting tight has made me realise.
Need to slim down again, and not buy new clothes that fit!!0 -

It's not just you, I'm so bad for it. I reckon about half of my wardrobe is full of clothes I want to shrink back into. About 5-6 years ago I started putting a bit of weight on and went from a 12-14 to an 18, since realising this whilst out shopping for new clothes that fit I've decided now is the time. I'm hovering inbetween the 16-18 at the moment and determined to get back in my old clothes. I think I must have the same style as OP as most of my smaller stuff is a 50s style! Well 50s and mega baggy jeans oh how I miss my baggy jeans! (as in super wide leg kind not just too big for me :rotfl:)One Step at a time0

This is exactly what I'm like too! I used to be a size 8 two years ago when I left uni, and toned because I always went to the gym. Since then the weight has crept on and I can't fit into 50% of my wardrobe anymore.
Oh, how I look at the bodycon dresses I used to wear with shock and awe I was ever able to fit into them!
I think most women, if not all, have at least a few clothes items they always keep. If anything, its a good incentive to lose weight, as it means you inherit practically a new wardrobe for free!:)0 -

Yes I would like to know too:) especially if you can see a result with just 10 minutes a day, thats my kind of exercise;)Thank you for this site MartinThe time for change has comeGood luck for the future0 -
yes vfm4meplse do share
I'm awful for this, I always put things that are a bit too small or I don't wear often in vacuum bags or at the back of the drawer and forget about them. Then when I'm having a slim day (I can fluctuate by an entire dress size on a daily basis) I can't find them!
I'm going through all my clothes atm and plan on getting rid of anything too small that isn't amazing quality or something I absolutely love.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -
I have lost 3 stones recently and luckily have a loft full of clothes that were previously too small so have been working my way through them and am now wearing things that I wore when my eldest was at nursery (she has now left school, lol) supplemented by some new/some charity shop things, it has saved me a fortune, I'm very glad I saved them all. The only thing is I really should chuck out all of my bigger sizes (before the loft caves in) so I am not tempted to put the weight back on again as I am too tight to buy bigger clothes but I can't bring myself to.0

I have more clothes that don't fit that do! I'm actually a little scared to bin them all incase I start a panic that I have NO clothes. Somehow, looking at a full wardrobe makes me feel better. Don't ask, I know I have "issues".0
