Asda - "keep refrigerated" items, not refrigerated

I suspect what the OP is talking about is a supermarket leaving a cage of chilled food in the aisle without shelving it appropriately. It never reaches the point where it is available to customers. It not only endangers the safety of the food but the obstacle causes a fire hazard.
I don't see how you can think the OP is saying that at all:KevInChester wrote: ». The other day I purchased a few things that were in the short dated (non refrigerated) section of ASDA, figured I'd eat it when I got home.
Clearly it was available to customers as Kev bought it!
I'm in agreement with Forwandert that ASDA are the worst of the supermarkets for safe display of products, I've reported several instances to staff but I'm not convinced they've ever done anything other than remove products. This is one of the reasons that I avoid shopping at ASDA where possible.0 -
my localisted asda nee ex netto has a pallet with sides on full of so called bargains,im with the OP they assessed and purchased only to find they were being offered products to kill
i would complain to asda direct monitor the situation and if no improvement go to enviromental health
my sister in law has no sense of smell and could quite reasonably buy and eat these fit for pigs products and be violently ill0 -

Happens quite a bit.
That's a pet hate of mine, but unfortunately this was large amounts of produce - usually several of the same item etc At the moment they've got issues with having far too much stock (overheard staff talking about it) - all the reduced sections are full to bursting, so I suspect they've become a bit lax due to this and been putting what they consider lesser risk items in other sections.
Thanks for the replies everyone, I'll raise it when I go the store again (if it is still happening).0
