When does £60K = £175K?

When John Prescott says he can arrange starter homes in the South East for first time buyers and doesn't know what he is talking about.

Why has the Labour Party and the country put up with this buffoon as our Deputy Leader for a decade?

I think most normal people expected this to end in tears. Except the unquestioning tabloid TV media.

Of course if you read the story it says nothing of the kind. Prescott issued a challenge to build houses for 60k and it wasn't met, he didn't promise it could be done.

Wasn't the get out for the-fat-and-useless-one to build a place for £60k was possible. To buy the land to build it on in the SE - well that's another matter.

There's plenty of cheap land in the South East. You just can't get planning permission on it.

To be fair he has lost his diary secretary so probably gets a bit muddled and has trouble staying on top of things (as opposed to her)...:rotfl:

 Could I have one on Sport?
  • It is a disgrace that in the recent poll of greatest Britons of the past 1000 years John Prescott was not included. Personally, I feel Nelson, Churchill and Brunell should have been excluded and John Prescott included 3 times over, such is the man's stature.
