Of course if you read the story it says nothing of the kind. Prescott issued a challenge to build houses for 60k and it wasn't met, he didn't promise it could be done.0

Wasn't the get out for the-fat-and-useless-one to build a place for £60k was possible. To buy the land to build it on in the SE - well that's another matter.A house isn't a home without a cat.
Those are my principles. If you don't like them, I have others.

It is a disgrace that in the recent poll of greatest Britons of the past 1000 years John Prescott was not included. Personally, I feel Nelson, Churchill and Brunell should have been excluded and John Prescott included 3 times over, such is the man's stature.0
