By 'mistake' I meant the whole situation - getting into financial difficulties, taking a loan and then blaming the company for taking back their own money. I shouldn't be judgmental, I know, and I feel sorry for people who have no money but we have so many customers who are 'a bit' lying about how they've been treated by company or what is the reason they can't pay the money back. I am not saying OP is one of them, but this topic is not called 'I got into trouble, what could I do to sort out my finances?', it's about a nasty paydayloan company which took all my money and it's all their fault!!

From Op side: had problems at work, forgot about the loan, lost the job, tried to speak to pdl company, they were rude and hung up, didn't call me back and took all my money.
Very possibly from the company's side: loan is due, no contact with customer, calls too late and starts talking about the problems, representative says I can't do anything, customer starts demanding, representative says I will tell my manager about your situation and he will call you back, customer still isn't happy and keeps talking so representative hangs up because he can't help him anyway and has more things to do, the manager says we can't do anything and then no one bothers to call customer again.
I don't think customer was speaking in an angel's voice and representative got rude just like that.

Ok that's the last post where I am defending paydayloan company, I don't want to do it but a person can't always blame the nasty companies for messing their life up.

I know how they make money and I don't like it, but after this experience I don't believe people anymore, especially the ones who are blaming someone else.

I do have sympathy with the OP, but DWP would not say what she(?) is paid by the state cannot be touched by creditors . Once benefit is paid into an account of the claimant's choice, what they 'spend' it on is down to them.

i left my job it was supposed to say .. The company just pushed me away everytime I tried to tell them what was happening! Until i finaly got it through to them as he tried to do it infront of other memebers of staff!!! and i did take it up with the company, he lost hes job but I couldnt go back to work at a place like that.

and I rang PAYDAYUK explaining to them BEFORE the payment day and they agreed on a payment plan! so dont sit there on your high horses judging people when you no nothing of my situation.

I understand i got the payday loan and I have to pay it back (which I have done now) I was just looking for abit of advice because i have never been in this situation before, I wasnt looking for a lecture off some idiots.

Why do you people have to be so rude and horrible towards people? All you have done is made me feel worse. I aint got time for your sarcastic comments, some growing up really needs to be done there.

Anyway, I got my money back, Because by law they cannot take your child benefit .. I wouldnt of been bothered that they taken it only because i had no money to tie us over untill my income support was sorted! I wasnt bothered about me just my little baby .. I would starve if it means her having the stuff she needs.

I have now got a new job and my boss has kindly let me have money out of my wages at the end of the month to pay it off!

customer and company are to blame! I rang them and told them about my situation, they told me they wouldnt be taking anymore payments! ohh but they did! Iv even recorded the conversation myself and proved how rude and ignorant they are! payday loans just prey on the vunerable and dont care how they get there money .. aslong as they reach there weekly target at the end of the month they dont care! Yeah but easy done, I know from bitter experience myself but their is no need for some people's comments when obviously op needs help and advice, this can happen to the best of us

Sorry not to let this go, and I realise this is now probably a dead thread, but that's not right . As I said before once benefit it is paid it becomes your money and wherever it then goes is nothing to do with the government. I hope for your sake you do not make your emotive assumption in the future.....

The problem these PDL companies have with sob stories like the OP's is that they probably hear so many of them. People don't get them unless they are desperate/idiots.

They will have heard every story under the sun, hungry kids, dead grandma the lot. Best just to go to your family and let it go.

I just wish people would check and re-check the T&C's of these type of companies before it is too late...
