I am interested in hearing about your experiences with Thompson & Morgan. I've ordered from them in the past and I found plants arrive healthy and I found their customer service to be very good.
My main issue is that I think they are expensive. They always seem to have promotions on which makes me think the original prices are overpriced. Plant plugs are always so small but I was wondering if anyone has ordered roses from them?
Many thanks!

I have ordered from T&M many times over the years and their plants/plant plugs vary from very poor to fairly good. However, the few times I paid full price, I found that the plants were poor (so it wasn't because they were selling off their old stock) so I only buy from them if there are promotions preferably with free delivery...
This year I also ordered plant plugs from the Jersey Plant company and I have to say that they were a fraction of the price and all of them were in excellent order.. Although they were small, I knew that before I bought them but I have a large garden and need hundreds of bedding plants so I think I will go with them in future..
Unless, of course, T&M have an offer too good to be true!
Re their Customer Service: I had no quibble with their Customer Service - Just the time wasted with their plants being sub standard and having to wait on replacement plants.

One thing which I dislike about T&M is that don't send out despatch emails so you know when to expect your plants.
I'll have a look at Jersey Plant company.0

I worked for a compost manufacturers, and had a look round one of T&M places. You cant knock the way they go about there business, they certainly try to produce a good quality product.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. Every single plant I've ever had from them they have had to refund me. Fair comment is that they have never quibbled about this - esp when they have received photos of the efforts that they call 'plants'.
I only ever buy from them if i have a voucher. If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

I ordered alot from them recently and the end result was mixed. The customers favourite collection was a joke, small dead sticks which didnt survive. I complained but was totally ignored. Most of the geraniums and fuchsias were good, although they were 'jumbo plugs' but the climbing fuchsias were a month late arriving and dismal. No leaves, soppy wet with green algea, no roots showing at all. £17.99 for 8 plus p & p like this, daylight robbery. I emailed them to say Alan Titchmarsh would be ashamed having his name connected to them but no response yet. Would not recommend them, and will only buy again if a super deal comes along, then I will still take it with a pinch of salt.0

First order was the £100 of plants for £15 inc P&P.
Didn't feel I got value for money. All the flowers are growing well now after being decididly ropey.
I prefer growing from seed anyway.Tim0

I couldn't remember the name when I answered the post but I found their magazine tonight and I had ordered from the Jersey Plants Direct.

I too have had mixed results. They took ages to dispatch my bedding plugs, all in separate packages over a month. The plants all came on well though. I too redered from Jersey plants direct and they were superb. My best buy was from ebay :-) (David Clyde). Really healthy massive plugs.0
