You may be speaking the technical truth, but the reality of the situation is that many convictions will simply not be found out at US Customs. I know from personal experience that people ticking "no" to this question, when they have relevant convictions, hasn't caused any issues.

Does the fact he has a criminal record appear on the screens - in all likelyhood, no. Will it ever, who knows. Even if it did CBP can not make a decision whether such and such a crime from one of the VWP countries constitues a CiMT, all he has to do is catch you in a lie - Q "ever been arrested" A "No" Off to secondary then a plane home.

Shaun - Yeah I read it. Now you go read it properly. We aren't talking about names, were talking about specifics... Like I already said :D

    You call EU legislation bull.

You refuse to take up my bet in regards to the price of the OP's flight.

You provide nothing at all in terms of any UK/EU legislation to prove your point despite me doing otherwise.

FACT is the UK will not provide any other info without consent other than I already pointed out and as backed up by legislation I provided.
FACT is you cannot prove me wrong other than through your irate and inane rants which hold absolutely no basis other than because you said so :D And I don't doubt you've not been googling away trying your damnedest :D

If it makes you feel better, sometimes my awesomeness gives me headaches :p

Ever heard of the Data Protection Act, (that allows the sharing of Data), Interpol, or even the High value data sharing protocol.

Obviously not, as you seem to up your own backside to even do a bit of research.

I'll report your posts for you, as you are a TROLL>

Funnily enough I just got US visas for me and the wife last night.

    If you go here https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/esta/

Fill out the form and pay $14 by credit card you will find out, usually instantly, its probably worth $14 for the peace of mind and the visa is valid for 2 years.

Nope you are travelling on the visa waiver programme - i.e without a visa.

If you had a visa you would gone to the US embassy in London.

You dont need to pay anything or fill in the form to find out if its a yes or a no, it will be a no if you tick yes to any of the inane questions about being arrested/Nazi/terrorist etc

Despite anything and everything in the UK we have what is known as legislation. Even James Bond has to abide by it.
It is not secret, nor is it difficult to find.

Now, I have found and provided legislation backing up what I said. In true debate style you are meant to go away and find legislation to oppose what I said.
The best you have come up with is a .com that could have been written by anyone and you have now reported me for being awesome.

Fwiw I get reported all the time and I'm still here :D

So if "we aren't talking about names", why did you provide a link that goes directly to legislation that refers specifically to the process of passenger name sharing?

Data prevention prevents the UK from sharing any other info with the US.

Seemingly no one told the US that

    Boring.

Information collected, used, disseminated, and maintained may include biographic and biometric information. Biometric information may include fingerprints and digital facial photographs, and the reason and date the biometric was collected. Biographic information may include full name (i.e., first, last, middle, nickname, and alias), date of birth, place of birth, citizenship, document identifier (e.g., document type, document number, and country of issuance), current whereabouts (if known), and gender.

    Try harder.
