Help needed - Faulty daily deal purchase

I bought a hairchair on a daily deal website. It arrived via the online retailer (and did look like it had been previously opened) However when I opened it there is a split in the plastic on the backrest.
I called the retailer and they will give me a full refund if I return the product, however they cannot replace as they have no more stock.
Is there anything I can do? I want this highchair especially. I can obviously buy my own replacement from another retailer but won't receive the 65% discount on the product (I bought this especially due to the discount).
Do they have to provide an alternative option at all? I.e. provide a replacement (say in another colour).
Thanks
