Cancel my mobile phone contract

Options
Is there anyway I can cancel my contract without being charged?

Since starting my contract with Orange I have had nothing but problems, my data for the first few weeks where not activated although I was charged fully after complaining and being told I would get my first month rental free ( still charged me ). Now they have made a mistake with my tarrif to which they have admitted the mistake and they have taken £324 from my account ( which will take 28 days for me to get back) I have been constantly told they will call back (not once have they!!)

My tarrif has now been changed back, but I am just fed up with the service!
They say as I am now outside of 14 days I cannot get out of the contract, but surely with changing my tarrif around, taking a large sum of money off me and treating me like a regretted one night stand. They have breached the very contract they bind me by?

    Hello,

It is unlikely that you will be able to get early termination, but on the plus side if the £324 was taken by direct debit you can contact your bank and file a direct debit indemnity claim (under the DD guarantee). They will then reverse the transaction and you should have the money back into your account the same day.

Making an error, admitting and correcting it is not the same as breaching the contract.
If you suffer any loss as a result of this error you may demand compensation.
  • Yeah that's fair enough, but the error was regarding my tarrif and they changed it quits month in for whatever reason surely thats changing the original agreement?

Your tariff has absolutely nothing to do with you contract! (As you can change tariffs to get an appropriate call package without affecting your original agreement).

As long as you've not been financially disadvantaged, it is not a reason to terminate.
