I did a search and couldn't find anything, if i missed something please point me in the right direction or merge the thread.
I have recently started to drink more tea and coffee than I have done in a while and have found that my teaspoons are starting to discolour. Is there any way of getting them to be shiny again???
Many Thanks in advance for your help

If they are stainless steel, soak them in a weak solution of bleach and then wash well.0

I always leave then overnight in a bowl of water with some washing powder in and they come out sparkling. Works for the inside of the teapot too!:staradmin:starmod: beware of geeks bearing .gifs...:starmod::staradmin:starmod: Whoever said "nothing is impossible" obviously never tried to nail jelly to a tree :starmod:0

I use denture cleaning powder. Just make a solution and put the spoons in for a while. Same with teapots.0

Any of the above work well but, if you have some lemon juice put some in a cup fill with water and put the spoons in for a little while and they come up lovely. Jacqui0

I stand them in any stained mugs that also need cleaning and add about 1/2 tsp per mug of soda crystals. Top up with boiling water and by the time it's gone cold all the gunge will wash off easily. Two jobs for the price of one!Oh dear, here we go again.0

I wet them, dip them in cheap washing powder then rub them with a scourer. Perfect results.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

If yours are silver this is a good method.
Line a washing up bowl with tin foil. Place cutlery on top . Add a cupful of washing soda. Cover with boiling water- mixture will ` fizz`.
When `fizzing ` stops, take out cutlery and rinse. The gunge then sticks to the tin foil. Dry and they are lovely and shiny.0
