So if some of you want to take the high road and do good to everyone around you, even those who try and pull you down all the time, I salute you. I am not built like that. And folks who are bad with me will get it back in equal measure. This is a temp job anyway till I graduate, but it has taught me an important lesson. Never back down if you're right or wronged. I might not win all of them, but atleast I'll sleep peacefully knowing I gave it my all.

Oh dear. Not learned a thing from the sound advice posted on this thread. I suspect, sadly, that the OP will not find this to be the last such experience he has in his working life.

You have done something wrong. You carried out a personal deal on works premises, during working time.
When you are working, you should not be carrying out personal deals.

Surely it doesn't matter? He's buddies with management and can do what he wants during working time. Oh, hang on, sorry, that's the other one... isn't it?

Can someone summarise the original post for me, because I am still wading through it?

OP thinks he is a good salesman. Fails to appreciate that he is part of a team, so alienates all his colleagues. OP's friend comes into work and sells him a phone, which he then passes off as his own to get a new deal. OP blames everyone else for his mess up and plays the victim.

OP acts like he is twelve years old. ;)

Ah, Ok, thanks very much. Sadly in the OP's working life there will be far more difficult situations in work to handle, if I knew what was coming my way I would have got into bed at 18 and not got back out.

I have found karma is quite useful though, some of the bosses who bullied me were fired eventually, without me having to do anything.

Most succinct post in the thread.

I would have thought a company did not have to write down this level of common sense, but there you go. Ops disciplinary seems to have been thrown out on this point. If it were me I think I would have sacked him. Stupid schoolboy error.
  • I'm afraid that I don't believe much of what the OP has written here, especially the outcome in their second post.

The only "friend" of a smart @rse is a turd, waiting to be unleashed on the world...
