First thing, you need to grow up - your motivation should be to come out of this with a clear name, not to "make her pay".
As you have been there less than a year you have no rights (unless they relate to discrimination).
I think the best thing you can do is apologise, and point out that you have never been made aware that what you did was against company policy.0 -
I agree. You claim they are petty and spiteful, but you come across here as in good company because you sound just the same. You deliberately went out of your way to make a song and dance about what you had done "just to spite" (your words) a colleague. You whinge about other staff being "best pals" with the manager - but you make much of your special relationship ("chums") with the deputy manager, so you are no different. You may indeed be very good at this sort of work, but you come across as arrogant - it isn't up to you to decide who shouldn't be working there or whether they are working hard enough. Go into a disciplinary sounding like this and the chances are high that you will be coming out dismissed. If you want to clear your name, stick to the fact that if such a policy exists you didn't know about it. And if you succeed and don't want to work there any more, then resign. Looking for revenge will just bounce back on you.0

If your sales figures were that good I'd hedge my bets that someone higher up will notice that you're missing and start asking awkward questions..0

All sounds like a playground spat to me.0

Your attitude towards the whole thing sounds incredibly poor to me. I think you'll find most retail shops work in a similar way to this one and you need to learn fast how to act professionally towards your manager and colleagues.0

My one comment taking into consideration the 'very very sorry, didn't know about the policy' approach would be to maybe do some research into office politics. It's not hard to see that you don't understand 'The Game'.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0

I suspect you're young and enthusiastic, have a good gab with the punters, and work hard. You make lots of sales. This makes all the slackers and dullards nervous as they see you as a threat to their turnuptakethemoney lives. Been there, done it, couldn't believe or understand it at the time, retrospect and experience and it all slots into place.
Apologise for the rule breach - point out you know you are young and inexperienced, so had no idea it was going to cause trouble like this. Tell them you can now see why your friend coming to the shop with the phone was a bad idea as it muddied the boundary between friend and customer, and have learnt the lesson. And look for another job anyway - knives are out.
Life is unfair, you will find more idiots and insecure jealousies along your path. It's such a shame, such a waste of life force. Find a small company needing a sales rep maybe - go in and arrange a deal which is thin on salary, heavy on commission and sell your socks off. They will be grateful, fewer petty jealousies to contend with, and fewer layers of management to get caught up in, and even fewer layers of people getting paid a bonus on your performance. If you're good, you can sell anything - see if you can find an old dog of a salesman wanting fresh talent to train/shape maybe. Go ahead, take on the world.
As for the politics, learn from this experience, the friend thing was a silly mistake, and rubbing colleagues noses in it doesn't end well. Learn to bite your tongue, and know that everyone has something to teach you if you remain humble. But swan around with even a trace of arrogance and people will think you're a nob, and knives out.0 -

Is clearly the right answer, and the best advice, but something tells me that you are not going to take it.
But I hope you do.0 -
Don't forget that you may need a reference from this company in the future if you apply for similar jobs. Better to try to be exonerated than resign with a disciplinary hanging over your head.0

Your a number nothing more nothing less.
When if they sack you/you leave your a nobody.
Stop brown nosing, in the end its not worth it.
These team carp games are there to max profits and stimulate competitiveness in the work place. Dont play them unless you have too.
But hey its your first job either way your attitude will change.0
