Should have towed it away instead. I often have to run people to hospital, and it's a pain trying to find a disabled space. If they're being used by patients in for major surgery, rather than day visits, it probably explains why. It would have made more sense to go in by ambulance, rather than tie up a disabled space for days or weeks.0

I hate stories like this, anything to blacken Traffic Wardens and CEOs when in fact its a PPC with a 'car park warden' who did the evil deed.
The first line of the story reads:An 'overzealous' car park warden stuck ten parking tickets
Typical newspapers trying to blacken the on-street enforcers as always.
As for the story itself, it just goes to show that some PPCs really are scum. If the vehicle still hasn't moved after 2/3 days and it has a note in it then quite clearly the person has been admitted. The last thing they need is further stress.
Hospital car parks should be FREE. The NastyHS is supposed to be there to care for you and look after you but these days they seem to want to be as draconian as parliament itself.0 -

Thats right because if you read the article properly you'd have understood that the driver had no intention of being stuck in the hospital for so long:But after an emergency she was forced to stay in the hospital and she was unable to drive her car away from the bay.
Read the entire article and get the full picture before slagging someone off next time.0 -
Ahh, the excerable Vinci Park are the culprits here!0

How is the warden supposed to know what is happening to the driver?
Weather you like it or not they were just doing there job. I am pretty sure everyone on here has upset someone in the course of there work at sometime in the past.0 -

Warden?
Job?
Work?
This wasn't a Traffic Warden despite the Mail's headline! This isn't a real ticket and isn't a real job of work, please read the forum and learn the difference!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Of course you are right. Most of these idiots cannot read. So they wouldn't have been able to act on the note. You are not a great deal better yourself. Weather = rain and wind. There = somewhere else.0 -
Hospital car parks should be FREE.
No they shouldn't.
It maybe that many have the parking control subcontracted to dodgy unpleasant grasping firms but many hospitals are in areas where if the parking is free it will lead to spaces being occupied by shoppers and/or commuters.0
