    And therefore there must have been damage else there is no offence.

    As I am faced with, you have no practical alternative to simply living with it and getting it done if another hapless soul does manage to hit you and actually stop.

    Every alternative, from you fixing it yourself to using your insurance, will cost you far more money than what you will lose when selling the car.

    Golly gosh, there's a lot of princesses on this forum who can sense a pea under 15 thick mattresses!

    Advice OP, wash & t-cut you might find there is nothing to worry about.

    incidentally, in true moneysaving style, Tesco Colour Restorer works as well as T Cut for this sort of thing. It's a little finer, so takes a bit more rubbing, but it costs about half as much ;)
