girlinattic is spot on in what she has said
You didn't read the quotes fully did you superman.
Half the time she is bashing on a particular type of car (in this case Peugeot) which is a dumb thing to say because as she herself now pointed out, make doesn't really matter. Each make has its good and bad.
She should endeavour to post with that smart bit of her brain more often.0 -
Ooh, love these threads with points scoring, it's so grown up!

Honda Civic are pretty bullet proof. £2k should buy you an early 00's model. Surprising amount of room for all inside aswell0

I've just replaced my suzuki ignis (great wee car sorry to see it go) with a 54 plate renault megane 1.5 dci dymanique, it cost me £1800, cheap insurance, only £30 per year tax & about 55 mpg, mine has 120000 miles on the clock but took that over the 1 lady owner with 60000 on the clock that was an 04 plate the dealer had at the same price (same engine too) as I know how most females drive! give me a motorway driven car anytime!0

This view was posted eariler as well. We've got a similar pedigree car. It's an 04, done 100,000 miles plus. Probably about 60,000 was done by my wife, some urban, some motorway, all the potholes as normal, the rest was done by me, again a lot of local, cold stop start, heavily laden, maybe an annual trip across europe, I've just polished it for the first time in 8 years. Just because it's been thrashed down the motorway, doesn't mean it not been abused around town as well. I'd buy the low mileage, woman driver who takes it to a dealer every time she hears an odd noise, and gets it serviced every year even if she doesn't. And not the ex rep car that gets all the rubbish for the tip at weekends, the bags of sand and cement for the bbq project, and the 80 cases of beer from the booze cruise. (or mine again)0 -

get a vw polo. you may get around an 04 reg with sensible mileage for around 2 grand. it will really keep its money when you come to sell it. they are bulletproof.0
