Is this normal form Virgin?

Is it standard procedure to give you your mac code, tell you that you have 30 days with that mac code, but if i decide not to leave that I don't need to do anything as everything will still run as normal if i don't pass the mac code on to anyone else.

anyway...I received a letter on Saturday saying sorry your leaving us and giving me a date in July where they will be coming to collect the modem! I've had no phone calls from outbound retentions and now this against their word of no cancellation unless I use the mac code....

confused.com!! Can anyone shed any light please?

Assumng that you are on VM cable, and not Virgin National ADSL service, VM does not use the MAC system as it's not relevant to non-ADSL migrations. It appears that VM are under the impression tha you have given them the standard 30 days notice required to terminate your service.

It's not cable it's national! I've just spoke to them and they said ignore the letter! But the woman was really rude n gave me the feeling she didn't care if I stayed or left so rung up sky n took on their offer have them the mac code so a couple of weeks n should all be sorted!

caz2003uk I would phone up VM and asked to be put through to the complaints department, tell them about the attitude of the women you spoke to, and then tell them that due to the way she spoke to you, your leaving them for sky, seems the women should be SACKED like most of their incompetent staff.

Too late already joining sky! Bit annoyed with the email fro
Virgin once the mac code had been used by sky! It stated that as of the 29/05 my line is not being run by virgin and any calls/charges will be billed by my new provider....I didn't hand my mac code over to sky until 06/06 so how can virgin just chose to back date when I confirmed I was leaving? Incompetent is what virgin is and I would never recommend them! Their billing is atrocious every month and I seriously mean EVERY month I had to ring them cos they had got it wrong!! Idiots!

And you think your new provider will be any better? You'll be going from the frying pan into the fire!

Already being a sky customer, and having no issues with billing, payments or customer service I dont agree!
