Why do i never get customers like you?
Heres a link to a much more desirable 330Ci M Sport with just 30K miles from a dealer, with a warranty for £10495. I'd say it could be got for under £10K

Unfortunately the first car has had three owners and the colour is poor and its manual, as is the second which has had two owners and is half leather of dismal German gloom.
Its the provenance that has made the car in the OP worth the extra, and the tasteful interior so rarely chosen.
I similarly paid slightly too much for my ageing rare MB at 6 years old, one director owner, however 10 years later she's still as lovely and increasingly rare.
If you find the right C55 estate on your hands in a couple of years time you might find me as a customer yet.0 -

Beige leather in a black car is a marmite choice - actually could be restrictive come resale time, but if thats your bag, heres a 25K miles true M Sport 06 car in the same black with beige leather for £9950 from a dealer.

You would be seriously MAD to be giving £13K for that car. It will drop like snow off a ditch over the next few years once the value of the new one settles even further.
I guess "provenance" is a word used by your local merc dealer to get way over top book out of you then?0 -

The colour is Imola Red. Rare, and VERY desirable. The 'box is down to personal choice
Three owners wouldnt worry me on a 6 year old car.0 -

Very basic model that, lacking the wood trim and notable by omission as to previous ownership.
Oh dear have i upset you with using the word provenance, pity.
My local MB dealer who only ever saw me when i needed the odd part went out of business, maybe he was patronising with customers too.
I bought my car from an independent used car dealer, a man of his word and still going strong in these difficult times, so it can be done, straight dealing attracts straight customers in the specialist market.0 -
I bought my 2005 3.0 Audi A4 Sport Cabriolet (manual) last october with 89k miles on it and paid half of what your thinking of paying. Its in metallic blue, got beige leather and walnut, private number, bose stereo, six forward gears, had 12 months mot and lots of service history etc etc.0

Hows it a basic model? Its got the M Sport pack - approx £3000, also full leather at approx £1200, heated seats £300, electric seats £900, metallic paint at £600, and the auto box at approx £1200.
It wouldnt have the wood inserts as its an M Sport.gilbert_and_sullivan wrote: »

You havent upset me, just bemused me. You're seriously still proposing that the car the O/P is looking at is 'worth' £13K? Thats crazytalk to be quite honest. As a private sale, you'd be wanting that car at around £9.5K. Trade price is probably around £8,000 ish.gilbert_and_sullivan wrote: »

Patronising would be referring to the 'provenance' of a car to justify a hefty price premium.gilbert_and_sullivan wrote: »

No doubt it does. I just dont see a 320i SE spec 6 year old old model 3 series as being in the 'specialist' market.0 -

Yes, but has it got 'provenance'?
