Samsung mobile

After doing some research, I found the gt-b2100 to be very close to what I am looking for.
Unfortunately, I found it a bit difficult to locate a bricks and mortar shop that had one, so contacted Samsung UK for help.
Website was no help at all.
Samsung call centre assistant sounded Asian and had poor level English ( needed to repeat 3 times what I wanted: a Samsung outlet near me that had a b2100).
She could only give me some retailer phone numbers (already tried those).
Than she gave me another website (which does not exist) and 2 phone numbers. 1 was another shop that didn't even recognise the phone (nor much else), and the other number did not even exist.
Would be most grateful for an alternative of the b2100 from another brand. Super rugged, waterproof, camera wanted, but absolutely nothing else. I don't care how little extra it is for wonderful stuff; I simply don't use it.
Was I just unlucky, or is Samsung not exactly known for it's great customer support?
I have a Samsung monitor, which is now more than 5 years old, gets used every day, and gives fantastic performance (still) whilst at the time surprisingly modestly priced. Has the company gone downhill?

Why does it have to be bricks and mortar?
Alternatives:B2710 Solid Immerse - £115 at Argos if you insist on 'bricks and mortar'.
Samsung M110 Solid
Motorola Defy Mini - not 'rugged', but waterproof and below £100
JCB Toughphone0 -
I want to go there, and stick my sim in to make sure it works.
I have a Tesco payg sim and do NOT want to change it to anything else.0 -
Your sim will work in any unlocked phone.
b2100 is available sim-free (not locked) at play.com and pixmania.
Both have adequate returns policy allowing you to return the phone within 7/15 days.0 -
Don't know how waterproof my phone is but I use an LG A250 (on o2 network) bought from tesco and put my tesco sim card in and it works fine. I think camera is better than on the GT-B2100 as well0

You actually has more rights ordering online and if it doesn't work on your network you can send it back under distance selling regulations. Some stores can be a little funny with instore purchases where someone buys one and it's not on the right network and they don't have a change of mind policy. In those situations you would still own the phone and they would have no obligation to accept the phone back instore.0 -
Interesting. What part/item/paragraph deals with that?0

Under distance selling regulations you have 7 days to inspect goods ordered online or over the phone etc. If within the 7 days you decide you want to reject the goods just contact the company and let them know you are rejecting under DSR . It's important to understand though the 7 days is to inform them not to actually send then back you can do that after the 7 days for a refund. I'm posting on my phone so don't have many links to post but just search distance selling regulations oft or something similar and you will find plenty to read about it.0
