MSE News: Discounts bonus for Amex cardholders

Sounds good - what did the notice say and how long after your purchase did you receive it?
My Starbucks one said "Congratulations. You saved £5.00 with Amex at Starbucks. Credit issued in up to 2 billing cycles"
If you got the same as that then I read it as being it may take up to 2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your account, not that you could use it twice - this sentence is common to all the offer notifications.0 -
Yes that's right - the notification was from within the app.
It seemed to clearly imply that the offer could be used in two separate billing periods.
So top-up the car with £10 and get £5 back Can't be bad!
Think you've misread it as above!| Amex & Foursquare Hoarder |Cashback & Points (26/02/13)

Ok I may have misread it though I still think the wording could mean that the cashback is available in two billing cylces!
Is there information elsewhere about the availablity of cashback on more than one occasion?
On the app I still get the following message despite having already received one before Christmas:
"you unlocked a special spend £10 get £5 back'0 -
The offers can only be used once per card per offer. The only time you can go back to the same retailer is when the previous offer has ended and they've launched a new one (ie Harvey Nichols).| Amex & Foursquare Hoarder |Cashback & Points (26/02/13)

Yep, what Russinating says
The message doesn't change on the app but you only get to use them once per offer. It's not exactly a big amount to outlay if you want to give it a shot, but I really wouldn't hold out much hope!

Thanks for all the information which sounds as if it is correct.
I do wish these foursquare offers were much more transparent and less-confusing.
When can we expect some new offers?0 -
Based on the last ones, I guess hopefully in a month or two - I guess they'll want to evaluate how they've gone and whether they wish to continue with them - I do hope so though!0

December was the first time I've taken advantage of these offers so not sure how regular they were before but I spoke to customer services earlier and they said new deals are imminent - they're just waiting for the details :j0

"Customers can net some decent bargains such as £10 off a £10+ spend at Pizza Express, but only on one-off spends ..."
I was going to shop in Tesco with my Amex anyway, but had no idea there were offers such as this. Just wanted to say thanks for pointing it out. :money:
Got the £10 credit pretty quickly afterwards.0 -
That's a terribly old article, why are your posting it now? The offer isn't even running anymore.| Amex & Foursquare Hoarder |Cashback & Points (26/02/13)
