Where I am, all collections are 2 days later this week. Mine should have been today so is Thursday this week. We have leaflets put on our bin with changes.

My normal collection day is Monday and they didn't come on Monday so it will be next Monday instead. Fortunately I don't generate much rubbish.

For some reason our recycling boxes were not emptied last week so I guess they will be done next Monday also.

My black bins got collected yesterday. I wasn't sure due to the whole double bank holiday shennanigans but I took a chance and they got collected.

However when I phoned today to order my parents more heating fuel and had to explain that they had run out over the weekend and wouldn't phone yesterday as it was a bank holiday, the guy told me the bank holiday was today but they didn't get them.

I don't get bank holidays at work so I don't really keep up with them.
