DH has just driven DD to work as bus is not running today.
When he gets back will make brekkie for him, me and two dds- probably boiled egg and toast.
(((FS)))
I am sorry about your pet.
Had a lovely day yesterday. DD drove us to Redcar in her car to give DH a break from driving. Weather improved just as we got there, had a walk along the beach, meal at Martha's Vineyard and I had a good browse in the shops while DH and DDs had a long walk before meeting up near the car.

Mine do the "there is nothing to eat!" as well - then look shocked when I rustle up pasta, stir fry etc from bits and bobs.
Made youngest big bowl of veg pasta yesterday while she was home revising so will finish that up for lunch and might make chicken lasagne for tonight.
Can hear movement downstairs so will go and look busy.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

morning all!
I enjoyed the concert last night but some of the performers could have sung a little better to say the least - still it was an amazing night and the fireworks at the end were magnificent.
I'm off to work later but hopefully will see some of the carriage procession there.
Am making some leek and potato soup this morning - Aldi leeks that are past their best and also stewing some home grown rhubarb for crumbles. I love rhubarb crumble:)
House tidy - small load of washing in machine to hang indoors later. Dry here so far but it wont last I fear.
FS - sorry about your snake - I'm not a fan myself but I know how upsetting it is to lose any pet. (((hugs))) x x
Gintot - good luck with the decorating!:)I'm avoiding doing any - cant cope with the upheaval.
Have a great bank holiday all - and commiserations to those like me who have to work as usual for no extra pay or time off.Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all,
A little bit dull here, (the weather not me) got my bm on
making a low carb loaf, will make a wholemeal one for dd later.
Today I need to do an online food shop, or at least see what we need, and if its not too much leave the online shop for this week, we seem to have a full freezer atm.
Also going to my dads home at 12, as they have some Jubilee celebtation, and dd and I have offered to help, so will go for a couple of hours.
Not sure whats for dinner, there is some chicken left from yesterday, and some prawns in the freezer, so either of those will do.
OK better get on, have good days all xx

Morning All
Well, that's me back from my trip up north, absolutely fantastic time just walking and having picnics with great company and an 8 month old springer spaniel pup! We saw Eagles (3 different ones) and a Red Kite which was a bonus. DD and I have decided to get some decent walking boots/shoes and do it more often.
Back to reality today - need to go and do some shopping at L!dl and then to TK Macs for a couple of baby pressies (they usually have good sets there). The washing is on the line but the weather doesn't look too promising so it could be coming in soon.
FS sorry to hear of your pet (sorry can't even type the word), always sad to lose a pet.
Off to shower in a mo and give DD a shout as she wants to go shopping too. Take care. XX0 -
Morning All
Dry here at the moment and I have taken a risk and put the airers on the patio rather than hang everything on the line. If it rains it will just be a matter of DH bringing them in through the French doors.
We didn't bother with the concert last night, the line up was awful, so we just left the telly off, which is the norm lately.
Foreversaving Sorry to hear about your pet snake, a lot of us have lost pets in the last month and it doesn't matter what sort of creature it is, it was a part of the family (((((((hugs)))))) xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hope is like the sun, which, as we journey toward it, casts the shadow of our burden behind us.

Yes our snake was certainly dead. Although a snake wasn't my first choice of a pet, we had her for a number of years. The only reason we got her in the first place was because i said to hubby that if he got rid of his beloved fishtank he could have a snake. Oh how that backfired!! I did grow to like her though. By the way the girls were i dread to think how they will be when something happens to the dog and even the chickens. Jasper our dog is amazing company and i just can't imagine life without him. The chickens just make me smile everytime i see them.
It is really starting to cloud over here now so may have to get the washing in. At least it has had a little while outside.
Housework is all finished. Ironing still has to be done.
Hope everyone has a good day and hugs to those who need them.
