this is a question that always seems to produce polarised and extreme views (a.k.a. rubbish) on this site. You probably guessed that parts will be available from ebay and breakers' yards, however the official MG Rover parts operation was sold to Caterpillar while they were still producing cars, and currently is operating as X-Part (http://mgroverpartfinder.com/)
you will find a broad range of service parts from them. Trim and panels are scarce though, which is where the s/hand sources come into their own.

    genuin side panel.

loads of panels on fleabay including interior trim.

any auto paint supplier who deal in panels will get hold of pattern parts also.

ive had no probs in getting hold of parts for these cars cant understand why others have.

its either available locally or available to order through rimmer xpart, fps, euro etc.

whats even more spectacular is that powerflex do the lower mount bushes, just use the mount carcuss.

Nice big cars. The old man has one and I recently got him mintex discs and pads for the rear for £46 delivered.
Frequent the scrapyard and picked up a towbar for £50 off an old one. As others have said, there are loads in the breakers yards but still plenty of places have new parts.

The 1.8 petrol engines are the ones with the head gasket problems. The others seem to be fine from what I've read.

i see lots of the big engined ones,i guess they are retired to the great breaker due to petrol/insurance/tax costs and thiose that take their pork pie hats with them get a c1 type dustbin to run round in

Yes, most Roewe 75 parts are freely available brand new. ;)

Also Unipart Automotive are heavily involved in spare parts distribution.

I own a 1999 Rover 75 and also a 2001 MG ZT and I have not struggled to get anything. Panels are available in the obvious places. The Rover I have is by far the best car I have ever owned, even the people who mock me for having an old mans car soon change their tune when they are taken for a drive in it.
