Though I think the idea of cancelling a major medical procedure so you can go to a concert is ludicrous anyway!
Why?
What possible justification is there for your view on this?
Why should someone not be able to schedule elective surgery to a date that suits them?
Would you take the same view about when you can book a holiday; when you can get your car repaired or; when you can have your house painted?
This seems to be a classic case of confusing the fact that we don't pay for the NHS at the point of delivery with, we don't pay for it at all! Or perhaps a belief that we should be so grateful to be getting any treatment that we shouldn't dare to expect to receive it when it is convenient for us?
That these attitudes might prevail in the NHS is lamentable, but that members of the public who are paying for the service think it's acceptable makes my blood boil.Optimists see a glass half full
Pessimists see a glass half empty
Engineers just see a glass twice the size it needed to be
