IME, they're all foul. The OH doesn't drink and a year or so ago we tried every de-alcoholised wine on the market. They don't taste like wine, unfortunately, just musty grape juice. There are plenty of nice alcohol-free drinks on the market, but just don't expect them to taste like wine.
I don't know why they can't make decent ones, tbh. They can manage it with lager, so why not wine?
PS. If you abstaining because you're pregnant, mishka, just treat yourself! One small glass won't hurt"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
I know you said wine, but...
...the best non-alcoholic "drink" I've ever had is Cobra Zero alcohol free lager. It's what I always have when I want to feel like I'm having a drink but I can't drink alcohol. Really good stuff.
i agree the cobra zero is nice, also is the becks blue , but got to say the best one i've tasted is san miguel 0% , gutted i can't find it anywhere in the uk though (tasted it in spain)0 -
I tried loads of alcohol-free wines when I was pregnant, and thought they were all horrible. I did however use Sainsburys alco-free red wine to make mulled wine at Christmas, and once all the spices had been added, didn't taste bad.
Becks Blue is probably the best pretend alcho drink I tried. Tastes very similar to the regular.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
As someone who has not had a drink for 12yrs i think drinking non alcoholic wine is like visiting a brothel and only getting a kiss...
If you are pregnant the treat yourself just to a small glass. enjoy,It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0
