Upgrading RAM in Dell Inspiron 1545

My Dell has currently got 2Gb of RAM, wheres best to get an upgrade for it, to say 4GB? And what am i looking to get?

Well Dells site has 2Gb for about £10, apparantly

Thanks Lincoln, would my laptop have 1 slot or 2? If i upgrade from 2Gb to 4Gb would I notice a difference?

Its £10 a Gb, like i said, a quick google seems to show thats the current going rate.

It doesnt help that half the worlds ram production facilities are now at the bottom of the south china sea..........

Cheers all, yes it's running vista... Is it worth getting 2 x 2gb RAM's to replace the (I'm assuming) 2x1gb that are in it at present? If so are there any brands to avoid?

You might be as well going to the Crucial website and running their scan. It will tell you what's currently installed and how many slots are free. They will also give you a price but you don't have to buy from them.
