Had an idea that would make my life a little easier in Boots - really wish they had self check scan machine like Tesco do so you can go show the bar code to it to find out the price rather than visiting some scary SA's.

Wouldn't it be great if they had self serve checkouts!!!!
    No SAs at all!!
Then we could try out all the glitches without embarrassment

Was in Aylesbury Boots the other day and all notices for the Sanctuary free bag offer have been taken down! Also could not find the elusive new Sanctuary Skincare there either. So settled for a reduced Botanics Antibac Post Shave Soothing Gel for £1.50 and got 250pts with ACM voucher.

Today was in Uxbridge Boots and tracked down a Pedicure set, yay! Very nice shelffilling assistant got one out of the back for me. They had loads of Face/Body massagers left there and mirrors and other No 7 goodies. Also finally found the Sanctuary Skincare range, it is not very eye-catching is it? Gonna try the eye gel  .

    This was my haul:
    Pedicure Kit - £4.99
    Santuary Eye Gel - £7.95
    Sanctuary Scrub Bar - £3.95
    Sanctuary Pamper Bag - FREE
    Boots mag - FREE

    Less:
    No7 voucher
    £3 SS mag voucher
    £3 SS bag voucher
    £2 SS wrap voucher
    200pt ACM voucher

Total came to £3.90, so added some reduced chocs which were next to the till (stack of 3 little boxes with a ribbon round them reduced from £5 to £1.50), paid £5.40 and got another No 7 voucher. Till did bleep and SA had to make some manual adjustments but took all my vouchers.

Went back upstairs to change the No 7 voucher for a Face/Body massager!

SORRY to anyone from derby but the answer is no store is the best. I went on saturday into the center with a screaming toddler and dh maybe where i went wrong lol . It was packed no mf boxes no n0.7 ped or face and body massager. The retail park where you want to go is a small boots no mf boxes don't know about n0.7 stuff. Came away very stressed, hot and bothered

sorry to hear you had a bad Bootsing day. Hmmm, maybe I'll try the one in the shopping centre instead.

phoned cs and they confirmed that you should get the wrap with no7 purchases paying with points and are sending me a wrap in the post
also i asked about £5no7 voucher as i didn't receive that either and they said you shoud also get that when paying with points and gave me an extra 500 points on my card
i have made several purcases before and have not recieved one and have not kept the reciept so can't do anything about that but i will query it next time i don't get one

    Hi,mrsmoneyspender
In your first inquiry did you mention you would be using the £5 voucher? I assume that is what you did. Yesterday I asked a SA if when using vouchers I could pay with points and she said I couldn't... So buying n7, using n7 voucher, you cannot pay with points (regardless of the wrap)- is this right?

PS: Why do they have so many rules and loopholes, it becomes confusing. Only yesterday did I fully use all the vouchers I could have used and got the total deal (how would have guessed without all your help that you could use the £2 bath sanct voucher from wrap with the free sanctuary bag? or that suncare was on BOGOF?). All my previous purchases were not optimal...

    I went.. I got:

    4 x Sunscreams (bogof)
    No7 Wrap
    2 x sanc body wash
    Pamper bag
    Meal Deal

Should have been £59.99 (not inc price of free bags)
    I paid £16.99 :D

Used my £2 Sanc voucher from wrap (which I pulled out before I bought :o ) £5 no7 voucher, and the BOGOF on suncream.

Got triple points on everything too, plus 150 from AC machine!!

I'm so chuffed with myself :D ..only wish I'd done 2 transactions to get 2 vouchers not just the one! ..but I have 8 at homes anyways so not TOO bothered!!!

(are they suppose to scan the bags?)

I would recommend the botanics aromatherapy kit as a nice little treat for mums, or aunties, grannies on mothers day! I found a reduced one a few days ago in a lovely lilac pouch(normally £9) it has a pulse point gel, body+space spray and pure essential oil in lavender its really nice and something different(not to strong as lavender can be a bit sickly) I find it to be just right and very soothing/relaxing. Its may not be suitable for asthmatics and allergy prone people though and for pregnant ladies!

sanctuary- the bath relaxer oil, the bath foam and the body scrub are gorgeous, weaned me off lush forever now, if anybody finds a menthol scrub in the orange packaging then grab it as its fab, I don't really like the charcoal mask doesn't smell nice at all.

No7-low spending with no7 voucher then go for the no7 concealer brush which is perfect as a lip brush too, (pay 50P)the eyeshadow brush,(pay 50p) the trimmer(to trim mens hairy fingers 99p)or the free massager(the pumice works on well on feet)or for a slightly higher spend the no7 topcoat and the quick think wipes .The suncream used lightly is a fab base for makeup aswell, tried it on a friends bridal makeover and she glowed in the photos)+ u get a wrap

  • thanks for the post about loosing out on points. ive just phoned cs and got 1000 points added to my card.

ok , this is my bootsing day lol.

i brought a pop up tent on my points but the lady said i coudnt have my no 7 voucher as i payed by my card.
so i thought .... hmm plan b - i needed a new brush so got a paddle brush for £6 and this gave me a no 7 voucher. next i brought the three pack of no 7 suntans £12.25 x2 (but bogof), used my no 7 voucher and payed £7.25. this gave me my wrap and another no 7 voucher.
i think i lost it abit on the sant stuff tho. i got two body spritz (that i dont really want). thought if i got the bag and used my £3 vucher from wrap bag it would work but he said no :(
so had to pay for two spritz. i used my points to pay but once again was told i couldnt have my no 7 voucher as i payed with my points.
just called customer services and got 1000 added as they were wrong. what a day lol

sorry to hear you had such a stressful trip. maybe I will try the main shopping centre instead (if I can persuade DH to take me there - I don't know my way around Derby at all)
