If you keep the angle of spray very shallow, they can be cleaned this way but the blocks are laid on sand and the gaps between them are filled with sand. If you're too vigorous with a jet wash you can flush out all the sand between the blocks - add in the cost of resanding - and even disturb the sand layer under the blocks. This will eventually lead to dips and hollows in the drive.

some great point by many mse members, how about
weed killer needs time to get into roots, leave it to work for 1-2 weeks. (if you wash drive or it rains too soon you wash weed killer away)
Flame guns are good unless your path, driveway has been sealed then you will be in trouble.
Then power wash removing most of the weed, and the root system has been damaged let it fully dry for 1 -2 days then brush in kiln dry sand (stick your finger in bag before you buy it needs to be bone dry to fill in gaps) with a soft brush around £4-£5 a bag. (block drives 1 bag for 2-3 car area).
Salt i dont recommend using it on any natural stone you will end up with
effervescence. ( effervescence on brick and concrete -- copy and paste into your search bar ) i use salt only when i have cleaned out old pointings or soil from between slabs on any large rooted weeds . pour in salt mixed in hot water using watering can then re point area.

Once a systemic weedkiller like glyphosate has got into the plant, it can't be washed away. You only need about six hours of dry weather after application for it to have been absorbed.

As micmac says - it will take a while before you see the effects of the weedkiller so be patient. When they first came on the market, we had a lot of people coming back to complain because they were expecting instant results.

I have bought a sprinkler bar for my watering can, and also have a mixer tub thing that attaches to my garden hose.

I'd use a separate watering can for weedkiller, distinct from the one you use for plants you want to keep......
