is there any way of getting rid of unwanted emails by using a certain word? For example, if I received lots of emails with the word "cat" in them?

If using Outlook Express, go to Tools>Message Rules>Mail>New.
In box 1, tick the box(es) alongside "Where the Subject line contains specific words" and/or "Where the message body line contains specific words".
In box 2, tick the box alongside "Delete it".
In box 3, one at a time, click the blue links, type in the word or phrase you want to detect, then click "Add", followed by "OK".
In box 4, type a name for the rule, then click "OK" and "OK".
