OP have you got example pics of the room? I've stayed in a fair few with a *partition* between bedroom and lounge area. The partition usually being one of those trellice looking things which slide out.

What you've said the brouche says does sound more like one standard room where the sofa's turn into beds for extra guests.

I would stress to the company that it's your honeymoon and you were expecting a separate room for the kids and see what they can do.

If this is the Dome Beach Hotel then another woman had a problem with the family room and got put into two adjoining rooms - so that is a possibility.

Good idea but it's not just people on Honeymoon who play hide the sausage whilst they are on holiday. If the OP was expecting a separate room for the kids that is exactly what they should have booked.

Sorry I cannot be of specific help to you kaos but all I will say to you is stick to your guns if you think that you are absolutely right about this situation.
I have found over the years that airlines, travel companies and travel agents are very economical with the truth when they are in the sh*t and have no problem with looking you in the face and just downright lying if it suits them. Sorry everyone in the travel industry (I know there are decent ones amongst you too) but that is my experience. I just think that if they get anything wrong (which EVERYONE does from time to time) the financial penalty on them is such that on the whole they cannot afford to readily admit their mistakes and rectify them.

Take my advice and ignore the buffoons on here.:rotfl:

I would normally think a family room is a large room with extra beds, BUT reading the description it does read as if it should have a partition although I dont think it would afford much privacy.

IMO a complaint is justified and i would be trying for 2 adjoining rooms, maybe if you wanted that much privacy you should have booked 2 adjoining rooms in the first instance though

thank you thegirlintheattic yes this is what i was epecting. The TO have already admited it is wrong/error and they are working on sending 'letters out' and I was basically one step ahead of them.

lewroll thank you too support is always welcome. Im hoping it will be rectified quickly but just wanted to be prepared if the outcome is not in my favour.

photome I agree most room are in this way a room with extra beds and we considered this when initially going to the Carribbean. But decided against it. As I want my children with me for safety reasons the most important aspect is that we would be seperated by ajoining door/trelice/partition. I was unaware that this hotel offered ajoining type rooms and you had to walk down the corridor to the next room.
So the divide offered me the extra comfort that they will be close by and safe. Thanks for your your advise on where i stand I do hope it is easily rectified and im sure i am worrying over nothing.

At last some real advice thanks for taking the time out to post back with helpful comments :).
