Soworried, I hope you get better soon :(

Being ill with no sick pay must be a real concern :(
It is, within months I have went from not believing mental health issues were real (never had a sick day in 13 years) to not being able to leave the house alone.

I found MSE though and I am getting stronger by the day. I found out about cutting bills, food costs and YS :)

The people on the messy thread are a great support as well :j

Although my post probably proves your point, that I am thinking of just my situation where a non biased charity would think of the most needy case :(

    My apologies x

Sorry .... I live in a very rural location where for many it's a 20 mile round trip to the sm - I know families where both partners have been made redundant & have no transport and try to get by on next to nothing.

Having the odd YS item, especially things high in protein such as meat now & then would benefit the whole family ..... I'm afraid it just makes me  when people who find themselves in really difficult situations get nothing and others, who I know are well off and can afford to pay FP for items, are extremely greedy and take way more than they need.

To me, it just seems fairer if all the nearly out of date stuff went to a central point (charity etc) where people who really need help could register and it was distributed evenly to those who really need it.

I really hope you recover soon and hope I've not offended xx

Soworried, you must be soworried... :o I really feel for you, as I had a time where getting up was a challenge, and if I managed it then it was a good day.

Spend day today, but a lot of it was teachers' cards and presents, so I'll have to split the receipt up and work out how much for the gc. Got some milk, as I don't know if we'll end up getting to the shop this weekend now, and some pancakes for breakfast tomorrow. A$da have just started doing 'hm' pancakes with different flavourings, which you can watch them cook in store. I spent ages talking to the baker as he was doing it, and he said they were going like hotcakes, pardon the pun!!

Got two boys coming over for a sleepover tomorrow night - one each of my children's ages. Their dad is dropping them off, along with mcd's for each of the children, so I only need to feed myself tomorrow evening. Then I'm driving the four children to the pub for Sunday lunch, and meet back up with their parents. (They're going out on Sat night which is why I have the children!) This means that we'll only need a small tea on Sunday, so prob tom soup or similar as I'll have made some bread by then.

Had sausage rolls from the freezer with lo baked beans and lo mash, which I mixed with grated cheese and baked at the same time as the saus rolls. Children ate almost every bit, and that's a little bit more used up... I WILL get there!!

    PG x

ps - I looked at Cleggie's dfd last night, and she has got the results for her degree - may be worth a few peeps sending a msg so she knows we're still thinking of her?

You're not overreacting, you're not being malicious you are obviously just preoccupied. You're not gonna have time to think about the person next to you if you can't even think about yourself.

The YS section in Mr M's scares me, I just avoid it now completely. The one in Mr S isn't too bad if I have OH with me. Last time I was at the YS section in Moggybobs I was trying to bend over to pick some houmous up and a man pushed me over. Pregnancy hormones, sore hips/back and utter shock meant I just stayed sat on the floor and cried. A nice old lady gave him a tongue lashing though.

I don't think it's the people who take one or two things, it's the ones who just pick everything up and dump it in their trolley.

I was chatting to the ys girl in a$da last Friday evening as she was stickering the stuff up, and she was saying that sometimes she hates working the ys shift, as people are so rude. She also said that they have been told by management not to do silly reductions on a sunday pm any more, as a few months ago, two people were fighting over a cottage pie, neither would let go, and it ended up going into one of their faces!! Isn't that a bit ridiculous!!!

So worried - I was kind of like you. I wondered why people couldn't just sort themselves out, but when I was diagnosed, I found it really hard, because as I didn't have a bandage on, people didn't know I was ill. I found the best thing was to be open about it, but then I've always been able to talk! I'm still (three years on) explaining to people that I was ill, I had some treatment, and now I'm better.

GC-related. I have decided to have a lump of lasagne from the freezer for my dinner tomorrow. It will free up a tiny bit more space, without me needing to cook after entertaining four very excited children!

    Take care all,
