Talkmobile good with iphone 4? Anyones experiences with plans please?
Options
Hi all,
So upon looking at deals for SIM only with my iphone the best around seems to be with talkmobile for £8 a month inc VAT which gives 300 mins, 1,000 texts and 500 MB.
I just wanted to check if anyone has used these before and what their experiences are with them has your bill been a lot more etc? Was it easy to check what you were using and if you were close to your limit?
Has anyone in particular used it with the iphone 4 and was the data more than expected etc?
At the risk of sounding very stupid!! ha ha no risk there as I do now I mostly use my phone for browsing at homes and connect to the wii fii? Can I still do this with talkmobile? I imagine this is nothing to do with the data but I just wanted to double check.
Their customer service also seemed pretty good I rang up to double check the fee included VAT and a nice rep confirmed this and that I could use it on the Vodafone network without getting it unlocked. He tried to tell me it needed unlocking first so I got him to double check. Are all these correct also with others experience? Has the VAT been included.
Lastly if anyone got it via the topcashback website did you all get your money fine and did it all go through smoothly?
Thanks all
Maz

Hi, i am currently with talk mobile have been for about 9/10months. I have been charged £30 a month everytime sometimes it was £30.20 or around that figure. I ring up 5888 and they will tell you how many minutes, texts and data you have remaining and the unbilled charges. To check my account online i had to register on the carphone warehouse site. After id done this i could see my usage as well as itemised bills. I've downloaded an app for my android to monitor my data usage and it has been very good so far. The app says that ive used slightly more than the amount i get told when i ring 5888 but i guess thats not a bad thing. I have a galaxy ace so i cannot comment on how it is on an iphone.
Lol yes you can connect via wifi and this will not use up your data allowance.
I have only rang up customer services once i think to sort out the porting of my old number and they were very good. However ive read online that a lot of people said that the customer service was very bad but ive not had a bad experience yet.
I went through quidco and i did get my £30 although i bought my contract from mobiles.co.uk.
They do use the vodafone network, i have found it to be ok, ive always had good reception but my data has been quite slow when i was living in Birmingham. The 2g and 3g data connection seemed slow im not sure why it may be because of me being in central birmingham? but when im back home the 3g was fine and the 2g was extremely quick aswell.0 -
HI Bart569 thank you so much for alleviating all my concerns. I feel much better now knowing that someone else has used them and are happy with them etc.
Lol thanks for informing me about the wifi etc too....bit clueless when it comes to things like that!!
Think i'll go ahead and get the deal.
Thanks again
