    Bengals were first bred in the 1960s by an American lady who crossed an Asian Leopard cat (a shy, timid creature) with domestic cats. By the 4th/5th generation the wild look of the cat remains but with the temperament of the domestic cats - so you get the best of both worlds.

    I can thoroughly recommend them! They make me laugh several times each and every day :) If you, or anyone else, is serious about getting a Bengal or two, just make sure you research the breeder thoroughly - I've come across far too many unscrupulous ones :mad: But I suppose that's the case for many pedigree cats and dogs...
