Morning all, dry here at the moment ,not sure if I dare to try and put washing out. House is a tip as DH is doing downstairs bathroom. has now decided to replace bath as well as toilet and basin so he now can't do much until new bath arrives Thursday. At the moment he's wandering about trying to find his wrecking bar???????? Why do men always think you have used their tools and put them somewhere???
Have to do a few more reports today, got distracted by the pageant which was good but so glad I wasn't there it looked freezing.
We're off out tonight to an Indian buffet at the local restaurant for DS's birthday treat so no cooking tonight. Hugs to all in need, hope your back is better soon sistercas and enjoy your friends stay FB. Judging from the noise coming from the bathroom, DH has found his wrecking bar:eek:
    Have a quiet day all.:)

    Morning all!
OH has gone to work, DD and DS still snoring, and I have nearly finished the ironing mountain, have just stopped for a coffee break! Sunny at the moment, load of towels and a dressing gown in the washing machine, and when Ive finished the ironing and finally had a shower I will tackle some weeding in the wilderness that the garden has morphed into. Need to get the car washed too as its all sticky from where the kids had taped up the broken window, it got fixed yesterday thank goodness. Have a good day all.......oh, better get something out the freezer for dinner while I remember!!!!

    Morning all,

do i see the sun poking through the clouds? I should think so to as its rained off and on for 3 days now.

Hubby is in a better mood than he was yesterday. Mind you, he keeps changing his mind as to what he wants to do today. First we were going out, then he wanted to stay in. Ive got myself ready to go out now so staying in isnt an option ive told him.

Looking out of my window i can see the birds playing in my neighbours hedge... such a wonderful sight.

Need to do some houswork, you cant see the living room carpet for dog hairs but it can wait. My son says its ok as it adds to the insulation.

Loved the Jubilee procession yesterday. Hubby isnt very patriotic and he slept through it. Things like that make our tiny island so special.

Oh well, have a lovely time everyone and hugs all round.

    Morning all
Sunny here at the mo' but it's not meant to last. I've an ironing mountain to climb today, and masses of already ironed stuff to put away. Why is that my least favourite thing to do??
Dinner will be leftovers, and I think I'll defrost a rather nasty looking salmon fillet which is lurking in the freezer to make fishcakes with leftover mash for tomorrow.
Tidy the bedroom, swoosh the bathroom and that's me done today. Feel very virtuous as I cleaned the ovens yesterday - last time I put the large oven on the kithen was full of smoke. Found various pieces of what appeared to be charcoal in the bottom:o
    Have a good b/h/Monday

sorry to read about your salary woes Hester...

OH bought home some of the last tomatos and cheery tomatoes this week......have about 5 kilos of cheery bubbling away to turn into sauce and then freeze.still have the same amount again to do and about 10 kilos of vine tomatoes too......now I just to try and find space in the freezer for it all!

    Afternoon All
The weather can't make up it's mind, first it is sunny then it is raining and it is really chilly, so I have 2 airer loads of washing sitting in front of the French doors trying to get them dry.
Nothing planned for today other than a bit of tidying up.
DH has cleaned all the rugs and carpets today and they look so much better.
Dinner is left over turkey from yesterday done in gravy for DH because he is still on mush after having a tooth out on Friday.
We might go up to Ivinghoe beacon to watch the lighting up at 10pm tonight.

    Hi Again Guys!

Well the patio has been cemented but unfortunately OH miscalculated (typical!) on the ballast, so he could only do the main bit and we won't be able to get more delivered until Thursday as he needs another 1-2 bags. Bearing in mind we had a budget of £500 for this and he's already spent £367, I don't think its going to come within budget as he's still got to get the slabs to purchase and we need around 90:eek::eek::eek: The bags of ballast are £43 each delivered, plus he wants to do a pond:eek::eek::eek:....he has already bought the lining and a kind neighbour gave him 400 bricks that she didn't need anymore.

At least its stayed dry so far today:D

The washing machine has been on with wet towels. I think DD's BF thinks its a hotel as he's had 2 showers already today. They are just getting ready to go out for a walk, then we're order food later. Ive done an online shop for tomorrow evening. The DW has been emptied again and the glass wardrobes doors have all been done bar 2 as there are 5 very big ones. Also the bathroom mirror and 1 of the bedroom indoor windows have been cleaned. Nurses due back about 5. Ive also updated bank accounts, moved some money over to the "secret" account and paid off the Tesco CC.

Anyway, hope everyone is having a nice BH.

    evening!

been at work today - not many staff in so was a quiet morning or as quiet as it can be in my job. 2 loads of washign done, 1 dried and the other on the line still.

    House tidy-ish.

Tea in the oven - burgers, onion rings, egg and chips(Glamorgan sausages for me) nice easy tea:)

One of my huge fillings has come out this afternoon:eek: so I'll be off to the dentist again when they re-open. Just hope it doesn't start to hurt!

Nothing else to report here, off to have a read of the thread x
