Discounts are available but with British Gas who are overpriced in the first place. You could get a cheaper price elsewhere and ignore the discount.
Grants are available if you are disabled and need help.:footie:

It would help if you told us the make and model and what is wrong with it...just because one company has told you is beyond economic repair (BG perhaps?) does not mean that it cannot be fixed, or that parts are not available.No free lunch, and no free laptop
