They do in this case, they have clear T&C's on the back of the receipt.

OP said it was an OLD receipt they found so depending how old it is the T&C's may have changed

Their online T&C's say they are happy to refund within 14 days but not sure if the instore policy is the same

thankyou all for your responses, i took the dress back successfully yesterday and swapped it! no problem note to self: guard all future reciepts!
